Hi I totally agree with . Exact title match is way too restrictive for broad use cases. But instead of just leaning into Seniority+ Function what you can also try is look for more varied job title keywords within the search results. LinkedIn search results often shows profiles that do not exactly match that keyword but are closely related to it. You can then copy and paste that phrase into the search bar to see whether that job title has enough meaningful volume or not! Can really help with looking for fresh and relevant audiences sometimes!

Hey Seniority + function is usually more reliable because it’s normalized. Title search can be hit or miss unless you use Exact Title Match which is too strict for most workflows. I’d lean on seniority/function for consistency.

Hey title search is hit or miss - misses stuff like vp engineering vs vp of engineering seniority + function is better but grabs some random people too i usually do both together - throw in vp seniority, engineering function, then add engineering as a keyword exact title match is way too picky and misses people
